Plastination Baby!

The Bodies exhibition is coming to New York! Starting November 19th you can see them at South Street Seaport - would be great if they had a bunch of plastinated seamen at work.

You can get tickets at Ticketpro.

unfortunately, this show is a poor imitation of the original “Bodyworlds”, which has made it’s way from LA to Chicago. Started 15 years ago in Europe, it toured mostly science museums throughout Europe and Asia.A fascinating exhibit. Too bad it has been ripped off.

Not true. A total lie. In fact the Bodies exhibitions are now perhaps superior to the Body Worlds shows (which are still good no doubt). Why? The man who used to produce the bodies for Von Hagens now works for Premier Exhibitions. So anyone posting it is an inferior ripoff is one of two things: Gunther Von Hagens or a poorly informed person. The show at the Seaport is phenomenal. Too say otherwise is ridiculous.
For discussion of Premier Exhibitions - PXHB - the company producing the Bodies show at South Street Seaport go to:

I saw Bodyworlds in London in 2002 and I completely agree with Miss Lo: The Bodies exhbit is an inferior rip-off. Instead of a pregnant woman with her fetus exposed, lounging in a PLAYBOY centerfold pose as in BodyWorlds,we get a bunch of staid fetuses lying in vitrines which give the Bodies show the air of a carnival sideshow scam. The bodies in Bodyworlds were artistically arranged in a meticulous fashion. Was there anything at the South Street Seaport exhibit that matched Bodywords piece de resistance - a rearing horse with a rider holding his brain in his hand in an homage to The Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow?

Bodyworlds ruled. Bodies SUCKS. Jake obviously works for Premiere Exhibtions.
