Who knew Jan Michael Vincent was so hot?
We watched White Line Fever last night starring Jan Michael Vincent as Carrol Jo Hummer, a young and idealistic trucker who takes on corruption. I was only really familiar with JVM from his Air Wolf days - but now it’s like I’m meeting him again for the first time. And I likes what I see.

Ha! Don’t miss “Damnation Alley” from ‘77. From IMDB: In an post-apocalyptic world, a group of survivors travel and find other settlements in huge custom designed all terrain vehicles.
There are radioactive roaches! It’s a must see.

I will have to get that! Sounds awesome.

My favorite Jan Michael Vincent performance is from a surfing movie called Big Wednesday. Also featured is the guy from Greatest American Hero (WIlliam something). Among surfers, Big Wedneday is a cult classic. For others, I’d call it an above average Vietnam era coming of age flick.
Video Free Brooklyn, hopefully still there, has it on the shelves.

A movie where J-MV is absolutely gorgeous (with long very blond hair–I love blond men!—with those squinty blue eyes…and those lips) is a 70’s flick, one of his first movie, called Tribes. he’s a long haired hippy, transcental meditating army draftee. He was the 70’s-80’s Brad Pitt, although I think he was even better looking. Problem was his serious alcoholism and th associated domestic violence, and major car accidents–one such accident leaving him with a broken neck and a permanently altered voice due to damage to the windpipe, etc.
So much promise…unfulfilled.

Jan-Michael Vincent is a complete and total fox…a beautiful man. Check out: The World’s Greatest Athlete, Sandcastles (if you can find it) The Mechanic (with Charles Bronson), The Baby Blue Marine and my all-time favorite, Buster and Billie.
Jan-Michael had it all: A gorgeous face–fantastic bone structure–the man could not take a bad shot…and his body….like Michelangelo’s David…wow, and he could act too.
Enjoy Discovering Him:)

Hot n sexy at that time of life…..recently he’s been living on the street in the French Quarter and looks pretty raggedy……best to remember him when he was at his prime.

JMV was best in Buster and Billie and Airwolfe. I recently heard he was living in Redwood Mississippi , a semi-recluse. He lost his voice in a car accident and after many problems with alcohol and drugs has dropped out of view. A shame, he still has a cult following. Happy birthday JMV. July 15.

Jan Michael Vincent was extremely handsome, back in the day

I loved Buster and Billy so much. It was out at just the right age for me, like 13 or so, and he’s so ideal he ruined me for anybody real…just kidding.
Now I love seeing how he looks because it’s such a dramatic story! He was destined to be an actor and his life a tragic movie. I appreciate him for that. Susan Sarandon said something like, when you get older it isn’t what you look like but who you are that matters. For him, who he is makes his youth look more beautiful and yet shows how futile it is to try to hang on. Are you listening, Britney???

I liked Buster & Billie and Big Wenesday. Jan-Michael Vincent had the most beautyful face since a young Monty Cliff in the 50’s Even today at 63 I like his look. He’s a suffer boy who’s just seen a little time pass by. Just like the rest of us will. He’s alive and well. I hope that he will indeed publish his book. Beauty isn’t everything. Even if your have it now, it won’t last forever. Jan-Michael doesn’t need it anymore. He’s retired and seems to be relaxing quite well and I wish him the very best. Whatever Jan-Michael does I’m sure he’ll always land on his feet. He’s not a dummy because he was #1 for a long time. He was even much more handsome than Brad Pitt is today at 43.

Seeing Airwolf again after all these years, especially on DVD of all places, so I did a google on him to learn that he’s 63 yrs old and in failing health, just made me cry.
When I look at someone’s eyes, I see more than a pretty boy, I see a dear soul, crying in pain. No matter what he looked like, no matter what sin he committed back then, I still care deeply enough about the gentleman who played a HOT awesome character in a show I was a long time fan of.
It would be awesome to meet him.

I too love jan.He was such a beautiful person on the outside, the perfect man I think.I have most of jan’s movies,he was such a good actor and yes him as string hawke in airwolf was great…..he was real sexy especially that deep gravelly voice that he has.
It is a shame that jan has had to battle his inner demons in that way and become addicted to alcohol but I understand it.People have addictions to many things in life….cigarettes, junk food, drugs etc etc….mine happens to be jmv himself lol….I just love the guy!

Oh my god, JMV use to be so hot…It is a shame that so much alcohol and drug abuse has changed his life…I believe he looked his best in Buster and Billie but also in Sandcastles, The Mechanic too…I could eat him up, he was so hot….Actually he was very attractive in all of his movies.. It’s to bad he couldn’t of kept his life together, because he could still be doing movies today, good ones, he was the star of the day in his prime…He will always be one of my favorites…”Fireball Lane takes the lead”

Hi!
I also l loved Airwolf in the 80s. At the age of 14 I got fan due to the helicopter but after a very short while Jan MIchael was the reason to watch the series. It only took a short period of time and I had the whole Airwolf series on VHS. I watched it again and again and again and really really fell in love with that beautiful man. I have never really been one that girlys that fall in love with actors, singers,… . But Jan Michael cought me and I never really stopped dreaming to meet him once. I managed it to get all of his movies on VHS, too.
Now I am 33 and I haven“t really thought about Airwolf and Jan Michael for quite a long time. But as I decided to order all Airwolf episodes on DVD and by doing that I also remembered Jan Michael and immediately fell in love with that face and those eyes again. Yesterday I found the YouTube Interview from 2007 and I could not help crying. How sad is that? My mom also is an alcoholic. Why does it always take such nice people? Are they weaker than others? Or what is it?
Damm alcohol!!! And poor Jan Michael. Sad sad story!
Best wishes from Germany,
Sabine
