It’s an affectation I acquired at age 6 when I decided I wanted to move to the Scottish highlands! (one of these days I’ll move there and realize it is so effing cold and wonder why did I ever want to move there in the first place?) Anyway, hard to go back to the American spelling after all these years…
ps - another affectation that I’ve had for just as many years so it’s hard to reverse is that I wear my watch on my right wrist even though I’m not left-handed.
