This brown area supposedly is next to the other super polluted area that is still leaking a benzene plume toward Smith street ( even as we speak). Can it really even be legal to be developing housing bit by bit on an area that has Love Canal tendencies much less build an organic supermarket...Does the superfund quality of the soil stop at the property line or does it only contaminate older structures and not potential new condos with their super pollution fighting powers?
