Looking for are rentable loft/party space…
one of our readers wrote in with the following question —
“do you know of any loft type spaces that might be available for rent for a party with live music in early October?
gowanus/ carroll gardens/ red hook / boerum hill area?”
I suggested Frankies 457 (they have that barn out back). Anybody have any good suggestions?

The American Can Factory on 3rd Avenue? I went to a party there a couple of years ago that was pretty crazy.

How about the Issue Project Room on Carroll St.? It’s an old silo-turned loft/art space overlooking the Gowanus Canal. I saw the Theremin Orchestra there last year and despite sweating a lot, had a good time.

issue project room is sweet - i would reccoemnd that as well.
there’s an old VFW at 10th and 4th ave you can rent out and the Equadorean restaurant on 5th ave around 11th is rentable.
