Everyone’s making something these days, well, everyone but me. I’ll leave these types of activities to the professionals or highly motivated.

One of my favourite comic/graphic novel series is Johnny the Homicidal Maniac by Jhonen Vasquez. Mr. Vasquez, also the creator of Squee!, I Feel Sick, Fillerbunny, and Invader Zim, draws, or maybe spews is a better word, the black comedic horror-filled world of Johnny, a deranged serial killer.

I think we’ve all felt like Johnny at some point in our lives. Don’t even try to deny it.

And the trees are stripped bare
Of all they wear
What do I care
-excerpt from October, by U2

Old Burial Hill, Marblehead, MA

It’s that wonderful time of year again and I thought I’d celebrate this month by posting a different scary/Halloween-y/October-y image each day.

I’ve started off the month with one of my own. If you are into cemetery photos you can find many more on my site.

Happy October to everyone!
