Jesus statues, real dolls, cuddle parties and jammies — of course! Below is a little link summary of just a few topics covered between friends at a holiday party this weekend…

Santa is certainly no clown but plenty of kids seem to be afraid of him.

(who’s this famous gal hanging out with her brother and Rocco, the scary Santa.)
Check out some more screaming mimis with Santa.
How’s Santa going to get to my house with the transit strike in effect?
Tam always has a post about a sweet kitty so I thought I’d do a catty post mad style. I thought I’d share with you Gawker’s Blue States Lose.
I know it’s not nice to make fun of people (especially hipsters) but Gawker’s captions just crack me up. Enjoy!

lonely dollop and stinky clove
Ok, so clearly a frenzy of Christmas shopping links are headed your way.
Like www.shawnimals.com where you can get some stinky (and rather cute) little plushies. Many moons ago I got one of his originals “a wee lump” for our studio. Each of their characters hails from a different regions of shawnimaland and are divided into various species. The character write-ups are great.
The shawnimal’s site (FAQs) has been kind enough to explain the origin of the color orange for us:
Why orange?
Well, it all happened a long time ago when red and yellow spent a lot of time together and eventually fell in love. When two colors fall in love, sometimes they hold each other in a very special way. And sometimes when they hold each other long enough, a new color is born. This particular time, orange came along. And they all lived happily ever after.
We just love these beautiful hand silk screened holiday cards - available at www.reneperry.com
A friend sent me a link to this PostSecret blog where you can get that horrible secret off your chest. The post cards kind of remind me of the Griffon and Sabine books.
Boy do I have a bunch of secrets to send in!
For future Ripley’s Believe It Or Not reference, a GREEN PUPPY was born in Boston (of course…) on this now holy day.
Prank by some enterprising frat boy or not, I can’t find any way to make a good allusion to that emerald pooch that was always hanging around Marvin the Martian. What was his name again…?
Found this link for the First Annual Myspace Stupid Haircuts Awards on Memepool.
I think I used to date this guy:
I’m so glad my Myspace picture didn’t appear on this list!
Can you believe this is NOT an onion headline?
Man glued to toilet sticks to story
If spending your day reading blogs still leaves you with a spare few minutes, check out the Wolfram Tones website - another time-consuming site to keep you from your work.

A good link from our pal Dave. I Personally love the shot toward the end of the lizard running in and then out of frame. He can certainly move!
Check it out here: morning musume vs. lizard
Ze (who I believe is a Brooklynite) is full of great info:
A very active cat - my favorites are fetch 2, stealth and Halloween.
A great bit on the art of punctuation substitution and its use in responding to passive aggressive emails.
Not sure what to do this Halloween? Check out GooGhoul.com - a good resource for finding Halloween happenings near you. Thanks to Gothamist for the link.
Always best to start off a blog by linking to another blog. Right? Wrong? Well whatever the case may be - we love getting a bit of love from our neighbors.
